Kick-Off Conference of the Project:
‘’Further development of the civil dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo’’
Activity Report
On May 15, 2023, KCHS ‘’Mother Teresa’’ organized the Kick-Off Conference of the project funded by the European Union: “Further development of the civil dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo”
Important stakeholders attended this conference, including the representative from the EU Office in Kosovo, the deputy minister from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the deputy minister from the Ministry of Local Government Administration, representatives from various municipalities of Kosovo, representatives of youth organizations and media representatives.
In the opening session, the general objective and specific objectives of the project were presented, as well as other components related to the activities of the two partners, the Mother Teresa Association from Prishtina and the Center for Regionalism from Novi Sad. In the conference among others were present representatives of Municipality of Obiliq/Obilic, Fushe Kosove/ Kosovo polje, and Novobrd/Novobrdo
Main conclusions of the Kick-Off Conference:
· Such cooperation initiatives between the two countries are welcome;
· The European Union supports such civil society projects and initatives through which the dialogue and cooperation is promoted;
· The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports pledges to continue supporting projects involving young people from different communities;
· The Ministry of Local Government Administration will work with civil society to advance local policies;
· The representatives of the municipalities pledge that they will cooperate with implementing organizations to achieve the project goals;
· Representatives of youth organizations expressed their willingness to support the cooperation between youth people through these activities;
